I Signed a Confession
by Roland Pease
I can’t remember what I said
and I can’t remember exactly
what I did, but I expect I am
guilty as charged. I do have a
sneaking feeling an accident
occurred and I was involved
Something to do with a scarf
or maybe that is a dream I had
The authorities undoubtedly did
inform me of the charges and my rights
Seems I cannot get a grasp on any of this
Makes me feel addled. Not of this world
Maybe that is my only way of coping. See
you tomorrow. I believe we are scheduled
